Nintendo Wii launches downloadable VIP Casino Blackjack game!

Today Nintendo launched its latest innovation for the Wii console, the downloadable games service WiiWare. Unfortunately we Europeans have to wait until the 20th of May for our opportunity to have a go, but I think it’ll be well worth the wait. Although the final European games release has not yet been finalised, the American release will start with six titles including VIP Casino: Blackjack.

Oh happy days! I think this could be a match made in heaven. Now I just wish I could also play my favourite JackpotCity.com casino games on the Wii. Imagine the new Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword Video Slot… Now that would be something worth seeing!

In the meantime, I’ll see you in the software!

Justin

Play Blackjack with the 21 movie widget

The 21 movie is a gift that keeps on giving it seems! Not only is it still doing well at the international box office, but I just found this really cool widget on the movie site that allows you to play Blackjack right here in the blog. Granted it’s not as good as the Blackjack you’ll find in our online casino, but it’s still a lot of fun.

Talking about Blackjack and fun, I’ve just had confirmation that in mid May our online multiplayer Blackjack tournaments will be launched. I don’t yet have a fixed start date, but I will keep you updated as and when I get more information. In the meantime, why not login to your software and start practising your Blackjack table skills in anticipation of this great event.

Blackjack!

Blackjack

It looks like the American public was more than willing to put their money on the table when it came to the “21″ movie this past weekend. It debuted as the weekend’s high roller with $23.7 million and even knocked the children’s movie “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who” off the number 1 spot.

I knew this movie was going to be big, everybody loves a good casino romp from time to time! In fact this has got me thinking… What would the top ten casino movies of all time be? I think I need to spend some time with my DVD player and start compiling this list ASAP. Anybody got some ideas as to where I should start?
